History
The name Bancker has symbolized quality utility construction since the early 1920s. Up to and throughout the 1960s, Bancker concentrated its work in water mains, sewer construction, pumping stations, and treatment plants.
During the 1970s, Bancker expanded into telephone cable and electrical conduit work. In the '80s and '90s, the company broadened into gas main work, horizontal jacking and boring, cable television lines, and maintenance of underground conduit systems.
Over the past 30 years Bancker has further expanded into multi-faceted site work, concrete construction, paving, industrial plant maintenance, trenchless installation techniques, and electrical and environmental construction.
Bancker has been owned and operated by the Beyer family since 1958, when Harvey Beyer and Harold Cahn purchased the company from A.G. Bancker. It is an honor and a privilege for the Beyer family to run the business with the principles that have defined Bancker for over 100 years: integrity, proficiency, reliability, and respect.

There is no task to perform that we cannot accomplish safely, and we provide our teams the best equipment, materials, training, and supervision to ensure that remains our model of doing business every day.

Training
At Bancker, training begins on day one of employment, with all new employees participating in a required full-day safety orientation. Safety education is a continuous process at Bancker, where our employees take part in general awareness modules based on the hazards inherent in their scope of work.
Our training never consists of checklists and manuals handed to the new employee to take home — instead it provides a practical look at each hazard the employee will face on the job and the methods Bancker deploys to control them. Outside the classroom setting of our corporate training room, employees are physically introduced to the culture, the sites, and the people who make our company what it is.
We also operate a natural gas training facility that covers a variety of topics over the course of an employee's career and certifies them for work on gas projects. Safe projects begin with effective planning, communication, and execution — training is one of our tools to ensure that all hazards have been anticipated, communicated, and controlled.
This section reflects Bancker's published safety statement and training description. OSHA program specifics (e.g., 10/30-hour certifications held), incident/EMR statistics, drug-testing policy, and any named safety-training partners or certifications were not published on the source site and must be supplied and approved by Bancker before they are added here — none have been invented for this rebuild.
